Hello

Welcome to Your Weekly News Brief!

Happy Bloomin’ Friday!

Big news on the trade front this week! In a swift and decisive ruling, the U.S. Court of International Trade confirmed that businesses are entitled to full refunds of unlawfully collected tariffs imposed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA).

This decision follows the lawsuit brought by Learning Resources and hand2mind, the Woldenberg family, whose courageous actions brought the issue forward on behalf of many businesses affected by the tariffs. (See feature story below.) For many companies across the toy and game industry—and beyond—this decision could have meaningful financial implications.

Gen Alpha Takes the Floor: Zigazoo Creators Bring the Energy to Toy Fair and the TOTY Awards

Toy Fair 2026 returned to New York City this year, filling the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center with the biggest names in toys, games, collectibles, and play innovation. But this year, there was another group drawing attention across the show floor: Zigazoo’s next-generation creators.

More than 30 Zigazoo kid creators attended the show, bringing high energy and curiosity as they explored the latest trends shaping the future of play. While Toy Fair has always been a place where the industry unveils what’s new, the presence of Gen Alpha creators offered something different. These are the kids who are actively shaping what becomes popular with their generation.

Throughout the event, Zigazoo creators walked the show floor capturing content, testing products, and talking directly with the people behind the toys. READ MORE

Stephen Woldenberg: Court of International Trade’s Swift, Clear, and Decisive Ruling on Tariff Refunds

We are delighted by the Court of International Trade’s swift, clear, and decisive ruling on tariff refunds. The Court confirmed that businesses are entitled to full refunds of unlawfully collected IEEPA tariffs.

This decision represents another important affirmation of the Rule of Law and provides clarity for businesses that have borne the financial burden of these unlawful tariffs. The ruling should now allow the refund process to move forward in an orderly and efficient manner.

Learning Resources and hand2mind are proud to have initiated this matter and delivered an historic victory for all Americans.
