I'm an intellectual property attorney with a growing practice and a love for fun and games!

Originally from Utah, I moved to Arizona for law school, and then on to Chicago to earn my license and begin my legal practice. I have extensive experience with design and utility patent procurement, enforcement, and defense as well as experience with trademark and copyright disputes. My approach to protecting my clients' passion, ideas, and livelihood through intellectual property is holistic, always prioritizing high client satisfaction and sustainable commercial and monetization for client properties.

I regularly represent clients who are enforcing intellectual property rights or defending against such claims in United States Federal District Courts, the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (such as in proceedings of the Patent Trial and Appeal Board). As such, I have experience with many types of disputes and the stages thereof, including appeals and settlement.

I have additionally worked with several clients in the Toy and Game Industry helping small businesses enforce and defend rights to their own work.

As a gamer, I have found that the strategy involved in the 1990's iterations of classic games like Mancala, Monopoly, and Risk translated towards a love for Magic the Gathering and Warhammer 40k as a teenager through to today. Developing relationships to be involved in this industry that made so much fun and so many friendships available to me as a hobby is an important goal of mine.
