This year, the Young Inventor Challenge® (YIC) proudly celebrates its 20th anniversary! Since its founding, the YIC has empowered thousands of kids ages 6-18 to dream big, think creatively, and bring their toy and game inventions to life.

The Young Inventor Challenge® is more than a competition – it’s a launchpad for the next generation of innovators. Participants develop their original inventions to present to toy and game professionals online, with the option to pitch in person during the Chicago Toy & Game Fair. Along the way, they gain confidence, spark their imagination, and practice invaluable presentation skills.
