Clue, known as Cluedo outside of the U.S., is a murder mystery board game. The objective of the game is to correctly determine which of the six suspects committed the murder, where the murder occurred, and what weapon was used. The game was developed by Anthony E. Pratt, an English musician, in 1943. Waddingtons purchased the rights to the game and released it in 1949. Parker Brothers licensed the game at the same time, renaming it “Clue” and distributing it in the U.S. Currently, Hasbro owns the rights to the game.
