Lifelong Creator, Designer & Innovation Leader | From Disney Magic To What's Next In Play

I've spent nearly 50 years turning imagination into things people can see, touch, use, and enjoy.

My journey began in the world of toys and gifts, where I created original products, including Baby Magic, and designed a collection of licensed Disney products. That early experience taught me someth...

From sketch to shelf: my finished Aladdin design featuring Jasmine and Rajah, produced for the Disney Stores. Bringing a character-driven idea into production requires balancing storytelling, sculptural detail, manufacturability, and the delight of the final experience.
An original concept drawing for a Disney Aladdin product. I've always enjoyed the journey from an initial sketch to a finished three-dimensional object—finding ways to translate familiar characters and stories into something tangible.
A few of the approximately 35 licensed Disney products I designed for the Disney Stores, including picture frames, bookends, lamps, and banks. These early projects combined character storytelling, dimensional design, and the challenge of bringing a little Disney magic into everyday objects.
Baby Magic was an original collection of whimsical children's gift products I invented and designed at Terragrafics-Burnes of Boston in the early 1990s. It was an opportunity to create an imaginative world of characters and products from the ground up—and one of my earliest experiences bringing an original concept into the marketplace.
One of my patented inventions: a wearable play environment that transforms a garment into an imaginative play space. I co-invented this concept to explore how ordinary objects could become new opportunities for play and storytelling. U.S. Patent 5,394,565.
A few characters and properties I created for licensing and product development. I've always enjoyed inventing characters with personalities and stories of their own—the kind of ideas that can grow into toys, gifts, entertainment, and entirely new worlds of play.
Moose Creative exhibiting original characters and product concepts at Licensing Expo. Creating something is only part of the adventure. Bringing it into the world means finding the right partners, sharing the vision, and helping others see the possibilities.
Early concept drawings I created for Walt Disney Entertainment at the Disney Studios. Working in themed entertainment taught me to think beyond individual objects and imagine complete experiences—environments where storytelling, design, and a sense of wonder come together.
From concept to Main Street. I developed the design for this Disneyland parade float, including physical models used to explore the experience before full-scale production. The moving set was designed to allow characters to ice skate on the float using a Teflon surface. The result brought storytelling, engineering, and theatrical imagination together.
A retail experience concept I invented at Visa for Disney Stores, exploring how mobile technology could create more interactive shopping experiences. The demonstration used a call-and-response interaction to connect the customer's phone with an in-store display. See the animated concept at brianmoose.com/play.html.

Inventing & Product Creation From original toy inventions and character-driven products to patented play concepts, I've spent a lifetime turning imagination into tangible experiences. I love the entire journey—from the first spark of an idea to something people can hold, explore, and enjoy.
Disney Product & Experience Design My creative history with Disney spans licensed consumer products and themed entertainment. I've designed character-driven gifts and collectibles, developed original concepts, and helped bring imaginative experiences to life at Disneyland. The common thread is storytelling through design.
Strategic Innovation & Future Vision At Ford, I established a 15-year vision for a $4 billion truck category, exploring 117 future vehicle concepts and new possibilities for how people live, work, and travel. My work focuses on helping organizations look beyond today's products and envision the opportunities ahead.
Creative Leadership & Transformation Throughout my career at Adobe, Intuit, Citrix, Ford, and Visa, I've helped creative organizations develop new approaches to design and innovation. Today, I'm particularly interested in how AI can expand human creativity—and how leaders can build organizations where imagination thrives.
