As an early childhood development and play expert, researching play and leveraging its benefits, is my passion. Taking all the research insights and applying them to create things people can actually use, is gratifying! People like inventors, product designers, product marketers, child advocates & educators…and, most importantly babies to big kids, parents, and families.

I am thrilled to be living the next chapter of my career, as the Founder of Play Elevated! A consultancy working with global leaders in children’s programs, products, toys, entertainment, and digital play experiences, helping to elevate the positive impact and developmental benefits of play experiences. My areas of focus and expertise include toys, baby gear, content, curriculum, and digital platforms, as well as supporting the creative and development process with research insights from ideation to completion. My research approach is diversified, including qualitative and quantitative methods & tools.

For the past 25 years, I was an integral part of the evolution of the Fisher-Price Play Lab, where I managed a global team of researchers for the past 8 years, researching, observing and analyzing play. Working side-by-side with product designers, engineers, and marketers to help create the best gear and toys for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers across the world. Together, with my team of child development research experts, we crafted the perfect recipe for great products: equal parts science and fun. And when not working with children, I worked with other thought leaders in the field of early childhood development. From higher education to other relevant fields like technology and innovation, I continue to love sharing my learnings with others – and learning from them.

I'm always available to talk about kids (conference speaker) and write about kids (published author) and consult with inventors and organizations that create joyful experiences and rich play-based environments for children and families around the world.
