International Day of Play, taking place June 11, is an opportunity for the industry to come together to celebrate play as a fundamental right and support children in reaching their full potential by providing time, space, and access to play.
This International Day of Play, join The Toy Foundation™ (TTF) to bring play to children in need by donating product, launching a cause marketing campaign, or coordinating an employee giving campaign.

Donating Product
TTF is hosting an industry-wide toy collection through June to bring play to children in under-resourced communities on International Day of Play and all year-round. Simply email a completed donation form to TTFInfo@ToyFoundation.org, and TTF will pick up the donation at no cost to the donor and distribute it through its network of qualified nonprofits.
Engaging Consumers through Cause Marketing
TTF is designing customized cause marketing campaigns for International Day of Play that will help companies engage their consumers in bringing play to local communities. This can include a buy-one-give-one toy promotion, round-up campaign at checkout, and more! Proceeds or donated products from each campaign will directly support TTF’s programs, including toy donations to children’s hospitals, underserved communities, and disaster-impacted areas. Plus, it’s an opportunity for companies to connect with new and existing consumers and help increase sales.
Engaging Colleagues through Employee Giving
TTF is launching customized, company-specific employee giving campaigns in celebration of International Day of Play. Every fundraiser is hosted online to serve as a simple and engaging way to invite all team members in bringing play to children in need. Beyond boosting morale, strengthening company culture, and increasing employee engagement, every dollar raised directly supports TTF’s charitable programs. It’s a meaningful way for employees to give back and see their impact in action.

International Day of Play was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 2024 to create systemic change where every child’s right to play is respected, protected, and fulfilled. Taking part in this celebration is a step forward in making play a priority for children every day of the year.
