The Toy Foundation™ Delivers Holiday Cheer to Children in Need

General

The Toy Foundation™ (TTF) is delivering the power of play to create holiday magic to thousands of children and families in need. These toy distributions have been made possible by the year-round product donations and financial support of toy companies, for which TTF is immensely grateful.

  • To provide all 200,000 students in the School District of Philadelphia with a special toy this holiday season, TTF, along with Amazon, Fanatics, Jazwares, Just Play, Spin Master, and more, teamed up behind “Operation Snowball,” an initiative led by The Philly Specials – Jason Kelce, Lane Johnson, and Jordan Mailata – and in collaboration with The Fund for the School District of Philadelphia. Toys are being distributed through three special school distribution events with the players on December 17, and at additional schools throughout the month.

  • To support thousands of children and families living in Boston public housing and neighborhoods surrounding the city’s youth and family community centers, TTF partnered with the City of Boston to contribute product for its annual toy drive. A series of events are taking place in December, with the largest held at the Bunker Hill Housing Redevelopment on December 5 where every child received a plush from TeeTurtle and eagerly picked an additional item from a variety of LEGO sets, Marvel board games, Pokémon trading cards, and more.

  • Supporting the community in The Toy Association’s own backyard, TTF worked with Hope for New York and Dream Center NYC to invite more than 300 low-income families in the Hamilton Heights neighborhood to pick out their children’s holiday presents. Toys ranged from Barbie dolls and Cry Babies to Paw Patrol vehicles and building sets, all of which were lovingly wrapped by volunteers. Families also enjoyed photos with Santa, holiday-themed shows, raffles to win big-ticket toys, and a warm meal.

  • To ensure children and families who are dealing with hospitalizations also receive the comfort of play this holiday season, TTF partnered with Hope for Henry, a national nonprofit revolutionizing pediatric care. Hosted at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, TTF delivered 2,000 toys for children with sickle cell disease to pick out their favorite.

Get involved in initiatives like this by coordinating a product donation. The Toy Foundation works with manufacturers, retailers, and distributors year-round to pick up donations of all sizes and distribute them to children and families in need. Since 2003, The Toy Bank program has provided the comfort of play to more than 33 million children around the world.
