Jose E. Leal of Hans-C Inventions is an inventor of toys and games.
He began making toys when he was 6 years old, and one of his friends gave him the nickname "the mechanic"
because of his ability to make just about any toy or device they needed to have fun. He was fascinated by his uncle
Carlos F. Peralta's toy factory in South America, and spent as much time as he could learning the traditional German
techniques of tin toy fabrication that the factory utilized.
After he emigrated to Holland from his native Colombia, in Europe he met his wife Virginia F. Layton-Leal from
Massachusetts, USA.  He then came to the US and developed a stronger bond with the toy and game business.
At Parker Brothers for almost six years, he was part of the Preliminary Design and Product Development group, doing
what he calls three-dimensional communication as proof of concept. He helped with the development of the original
Elefun, Don’t Wake Daddy, and Grape Escape, to name just a few products.
As part of the Nerf Team at Parker Brothers, he worked with Rick Burnham and Hansan Ma, the inventors of the Bow
and Arrow, assisting with the development of that concept. Jose also invented one of the first dart shooters, the Nerf
Mini-Blaster, introduced to the market in Germany in 1993.
He left Parker Brothers to start licensing his own toy inventions, among them the first foam disc shooter on the
market, the Disc-Stroyer with Just-Toys; the Radio Remote Control Pitching Machine and Mr. Quarterback with Sport
Fun; a line of Nerf Vortex Footballs with Hasbro, among them the Free Spinning Tail and the T3.  He also licensed
scooters with Razor and the Nerf Blaster Scooter currently on the market.
In 2017 he started focusing exclusively on games, and as a result Porcupine Pop with Hasbro, Drone Home with Play
Monster and other games are coming to the market.
He is committed to continuing to think up ways to make kids happy!
