We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Director of Finance and Accounting. This role, based in Richardson, TX, is crucial for shaping our financial strategy and leading the Finance & Accounting team. As director, your focus will be on financial control, planning, and improving business analytics.
Requirements
Develop and implement financial strategies to guide Goliath’s business objectives. Provide strategic recommendations to the North American executive management team and HQ, with a strong focus on controlling, financial planning, and business analytics.
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team, focusing on continuous improvement and professional development to enhance financial operations.
Oversee pricing strategies and product profitability analysis as part of the management of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans. Closely monitor financial performance against the budget, analyze variances, and proactively identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiencies down to the account level.
Ensure efficient and accurate preparation of financial statements and reports. Deliver insights into financial performance and trends to both HQ and local management.
Monitor and manage cash flow and financing, ensuring the company maintains optimal liquidity.
Coordinate and oversee accounting functions, annual audits, tax filings, and compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
Degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA or MBA preferred.
At least 10 years of experience in accounting and FP&A, with 5 years at the director level or above, demonstrating a capacity to lead financial operations within a retail distribution context.
Strong leadership and mentoring skills, capable of fostering a team-oriented environment that encourages growth and efficiency.
Proven ability to initiate and manage tasks with a strong attention to detail.
Comprehensive understanding of the complexities of consumer-based retail distribution.
Expert proficiency in Excel and visualization tools like Power BI, essential for effective data analysis and presentation.
