TITLE: PRODUCT MARKETING COORDINATOR - LICENSED PRODUCTS

Full-time Product Marketing Coordinator - Licensed Products position available with Carlsbad, CA-based board game company.
Salary Range: $45,000 - $55,000
Reports to: Product Marketing Manager
Status: Full-time
Location: On-site preferred
Summary: The Product Marketing Coordinator - Licensed Products leads our marketing efforts for our diverse portfolio of licensed games, puzzles, and accessories. You will work closely with The Op's licensors, partners, and internal teams to execute marketing strategies that drive awareness, customer engagement, brand loyalty, and revenue for both B2B and B2C channels. You will collaborate with external agencies and internal stakeholders to support new product launches, strategic messaging, product positioning, and creative campaign development.
Interaction: Interface with key department personnel: Marketing, New Business, Creative, Product Brand Management, Sales, Customer Support and IT. Work with outside parties including licensors, advertisers, sponsors, media, agencies, and consultants.
Priority Ranking:
Act as a "Product Champion" - Build internal and external awareness, understanding, and support for products through marketing strategy and ideation, creative concepts, and cohesive and consistent messaging points.
Intra-department and Cross-department Collaboration: Work closely with the Marketing Services Team to ensure efforts across social media, website, and consumer/retail email distribution are conducive to the overall product marketing strategy.
Licensor Communication & Support - proactively engage with licensors and partners to develop and refine marketing strategies and execution plans for key licensed products through licensor support and more.
Responsibilities:
Lead licensed product launch campaigns to drive engagement and demand.
Develop plans and promotions that align with licensor initiatives and programs.
Foster and maintain positive relationships with licensors, vendors, and partners.
Provide monthly progress reports and key achievements to licensors.
Manage the licensed product release calendar and keep key stakeholders informed.
Attend licensor-related meetings, documenting important insights and decisions.
Identify and propose co-marketing opportunities with licensors or partners.
Collaborate and brainstorm with the co-branding hub and other team members regularly.
Support the marketing services team in the creation and approval of all marketing assets supporting licensed products, including product videos, photo shoots, sell sheets, catalogs, and more.
Collaborate closely with the sales team to support products based on sales forecasts.
Assist in creating, tracking, and optimizing the annual licensed products marketing budget.
Provide regular reporting on campaign analytics to determine best practices and ROI drivers to share with internal stakeholders and partners.
Work closely with the digital and social media teams to support marketing campaigns.
Create licensed product-related presentations as requested for internal and external partners.
Represent The Op Games at events and in various media interviews.
General Marketing Support:
Other support as assigned including, but not limited to: assisting the marketing team with planning, brainstorming, budgeting, presentations, events, trade shows, customer service, proofing, file organization, meeting note-taking, and other support tasks.
Time Distribution:

20% - Research, testing, and improvements
20% - Meetings
10% - Reporting and presentations
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in consumer marketing.
Experience in ideating and executing strategic creative work.
Passion for board games, entertainment, pop culture, and licensing.
Experience in creating impactful B2C and/or B2B campaigns.
Experience with managing outsourced agencies.
Experience with creating reports and presentations.
Experience working with influencers and PR correspondence.
Strong analytical background to support a test-and-learn approach for evolving and improving licensed product marketing campaigns.
Proven experience collaborating with diverse teams to achieve common goals.
