TITLE: DIGITAL MARKETING SPECIALIST
DEPARTMENT: MARKETING
Full-time Digital Marketing Specialist position available with Carlsbad, CA-based board game company.
Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000
Reports to: Marketing Services Manager
Status: Full-time
Location: On-site preferred
Summary: The Digital Marketing Specialist is a savvy digital marketer with a proven ability to run multi-channel paid media campaigns as well as lead overall digital marketing initiatives as it relates to website, email, and social media. This individual will manage and oversee all paid traffic initiatives, consumer-facing email campaigns, develop strategies, run tests, analyze campaign results, and implement optimizations.
Interaction: Interface with key department personnel: Marketing, New Business, Creative, Product Brand Management, Sales, Customer Support and IT. Work with outside parties including licensors, advertisers, sponsors, media, agencies, and consultants.
Priority Ranking:
Digital Advertising - strategize, build, and optimize digital advertising efforts across appropriate platforms to amplify The Op Games' products and priorities.
Digital Marketing - Oversee and manage various digital marketing efforts including, but not limited to, strategizing, monitoring, collecting, and reporting on omnichannel platforms.
Provide Support for the Marketing Services Team and Product Marketing Team - work closely with others in the department to ensure efforts across social media, website, and consumer/retail email distribution are conducive to overall product marketing strategy.
Responsibilities:
Manage all paid digital efforts
Manage other digital marketing efforts including, but not limited to, email marketing, omnichannel/retail marketing, and website/ecommerce support
Define budget and CPA thresholds for all campaigns
Develop, manage, and optimize retargeting
Find and implement new opportunities in search, social, lead generation, SMS, email, and display advertising
A/B testing across multiple channels
Develop and maintain KPI reporting
Work with other members of the team to ensure the paid strategy complements and amplifies all marketing initiatives
General Marketing Support:
Other support as assigned including, but not limited to: assisting the marketing team with planning, brainstorming, budgeting, presentations, events, trade shows, customer service, proofing, file organization, meeting note-taking, and other support tasks.
Time Distribution:
60% Digital Advertising Implementation (planning, building, optimization)
20% Analytics & Reporting
15% General Marketing
5% Meetings
Qualifications:
Minimum 3+ years of marketing experience, with a proven track record in team management.
Digital advertising including social media and search paid advertising platforms (META, TikTok, Google Ads, Amazon, Walmart, etc.)
Experience with analytics suites (Google Analytics, Facebook Analytics, Google Search Console, etc.)
Website management and CMS platforms (Wordpress, Shopify)
Email marketing platforms (Klaviyo, Mailchimp)
Running A/B, multivariate tests
Required Skills:
Proven working experience in digital marketing, particularly within the industry
Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media, and/or display advertising campaigns
Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels
Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
Solid knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Analytics.)
Working knowledge of ad serving tools
Experience in setting up and optimizing PPC campaigns on all major search engines
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints
