CITY
LEGO City is a theme category of LEGO construction sets that focuses on city life. The theme has its roots back to the original LEGO themes introduced 1978 with the first minifigures. At that time, it was known as “LEGO Town.” The Town branding continued until 2003, when the line was briefly called “LEGO World City.” In 2005, the line was rebranded again as “LEGO City,” a name it has held since then. The LEGO City theme has had numerous subthemes, including Police, Coast Guard, Space, Trains, Fire, and more.
