Here’s SOME of what you’ll be tackling:
Reviewing IQC data and providing recommendations
Globally executing all product safety guidelines including “0” age grade, ASTM and EN71
Building and executing a discipline of safety including training and thought leadership throughout the company
Managing quality and conducting audits of our US Manufacturing operations
Managing cradle to grave compliance programs including SOPs and product specifications for all products
Ensuring products are in compliance with all children’s product safety rules while meeting the client’s objective
Building Client trust, Client report development
Continuously evaluating existing safety guidelines and procedures, making optimization recommendations
Contributing to the ideation process along with vetting ideas from a safety and compliance perspective
Presenting and actively engaging to education/inform your executive team
What you’ll show us:
BS degree in mechanical engineering, materials science or engineering science
10+ years of safety and compliance experience for a global manufacturing organization – extra points for bilingual fluency
Respectable library of certifications that might include DABT and membership in SPE
Experience working with Chinese manufacturing on high volume short cycle projects
Deep understanding of global safety compliance and testing requirements including ASTM and EN71
Advanced knowledge of CPSC “0” age grade guidelines
Clear, articulate, and empathetic communication and presentation style – you deliver your message with respect, confidence, and grace
Ability to think on your feet and switch priorities swiftly without breaking a sweat
Confidence to tackle challenges and difficult conversations head-on – managing globally isn’t easy!
