Position Title

Inventor Relations Manager – Toys

Role Objectives

Work with inventing community and uses natural abilities to find great Toys for Moose as well as supporting innovation more generally in the business as necessary.

Qualifications

Toy invention, design, or inventor relations experience preferred.
Product development experience preferred.
Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.
Existing connections in the inventor community preferred.

Responsibilities

In charge of pipeline of external ideas coming into Moose.
Personally in charge of championing and filtering ideas that come through inventors and other external sources.
Up to date with kids: market and play trends.
Manage full cycle of communication with partners from vetting of concept to accepting/returning tracking materials, to communication.
Negotiation of win-win deals with our partners.
Facilitating licensing contracts between inventor partners and Legal.
Provide direction on areas Moose is looking for to outside partners when appropriate.
Pitching ideas to internal and external stakeholders and customers.
Finding new opportunities & innovation from sources beyond external invention.
Researching upcoming areas of opportunity both via desktop and in person trips.

Work Hours

8:30am – 5:30pm, Monday to Thursday

8:30am – 3:00pm, Friday

30-minute unpaid lunch break each day.

Plus, reasonable additional hours due to multiple time-zones.

Hybrid working arrangement: Tues-Thurs in El Segundo office.

Salary Band

USD $125,000-$140,000

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone and other office productivity machinery, may need to reach, stoop, kneel to access items
Must be able to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work
Light to moderate lifting is required
Frequently communicates with other employees and third-parties, must be able to speak clearly and exchange accurate information.
Regular, predictable attendance is required
