Note from Mary: While at Spielwarenmesse, I caught up with Lisa Guili at the Learning Resources evening event. She shared exciting news: Educational Insights will livestream directly from their NYTF booth to launch the Kanoodle® 20th Anniversary Fan Edition.
Livestreaming from trade shows is quickly becoming a global trend. At the Beijing Toy Show, nearly every booth hosted live broadcasts, turning the traditional show floor into a dynamic, real-time media platform.
This year at the New York Toy Fair, Kanoodle fans will be getting exclusive access to the floor—virtually. Educational Insights, a Los Angeles-based toy and game company, will bring consumers inside its booth (#753) to launch their Kanoodle 20th Anniversary Fan Edition, becoming one of the first brands to livestream from the show, transforming this trade-only toy show into a worldwide, fan-powered product launch event.
The original Kanoodle brainteaser game was released in 2006, before making its TikTok debut in 2021. After the game quickly gained popularity on the entertainment app, TikTok invited Educational Insights to join the U.S. beta version of TikTok Shop, making Educational Insights the first U.S. toy company to join the in-app shopping platform. The Kanoodle line has sold over 50,000 games on TikTok Shop alone, powered by affiliate- and creator-made content. And since 2022, the entire line has grown worldwide exponentially each year, with 2025 retail and dot com POS sales quadrupling 2022’s.
A key to Educational Insights’ success on TikTok has been livestreamed, entertainment-driven content that turns gameplay into a shared, real-time hangout—where fans and creators come together to play, interact, and build community. What began on TikTok has now scaled to YouTube, where Kanoodle attracts more than half a million fans each week who tune in for live gameplay, active chat, and time spent together.
The Kanoodle team will be bringing fans along to New York Toy Fair, with creators @thekanoodlequeen (Arlene Resendiz) and @thekanoodlebro (Danny Padilla) livestreaming right from the Educational Insights booth, showcasing an extra-large version of the company’s newest launch, Kanoodle Fan Edition. While livestreaming from tradeshows is widely used internationally, it has yet to become mainstream at New York Toy Fair. This launch marks one of the first times the format is being used to bring consumer fans directly into a product debut LIVE from the New York Toy Fair show floor.

Kanoodle Fan Edition celebrates Kanoodle’s 20th anniversary by honoring the way fans love to play. It comes in two colors, Cyan and Magenta, and each color case features exclusive puzzles, bonus pieces, and #ShakeChallenge prompts that were inspired by fans and creators—Danny and Arlene are also featured on some of the challenge cards
